SARBICA: Southeast Asia Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives
Southeast Asia Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (SARBICA) is the first Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives. It was established at an inaugural Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 9 July 1968. The year 2023 has marked the 55th anniversary of SARBICA, which has 10 member countries, including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. To strengthen relations and exchange knowledge among archivist professionals, SARBICA member countries will annually take turns hosting an international seminar and general meeting.
